CHESS is spun from virgin extra-superfine Merino wool sourced from Australia, equivalent to SUPER 110. Using TOYOBOSHI’s long-established blending expertise from cashmere spinning, carefully selected wool types are combined to produce a lightweight yet strong yarn with soft, resilient loft, excellent body, and a balanced feel. It also retains the fine Merino qualities of smooth hand, elasticity, and high whiteness.

We adhere to a rigorous quality control and inspection process from procuring raw materials to yarn production. We can furnish a ‘Certificate of Test and Appraisal’ detailing the testing methods following the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).

We can provide inspection results for the dye-fastness of textiles and garments dyed by our company. These results are obtained through thorough examination following the test methods and grades outlined in the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).

Recommended Milling Process
Pre-washing → Washing → Rinsing → Milling → Softening → Spin-drying → Drying
Temperature 36 – 42oC
Detergent Anionic detergent (solution of 2 g/litre)
Bath ratio 1: 20
Spin-drying 160％
Drying Natural Drying (Tumble Dry may be applied at the initial stage to smooth out creases. 55ºC – 3 min. )
To account for potential variations in results based on equipment and yarn tension, we strongly recommend conducting a sample trial before initiating actual production.
